„I've been with the company for 26 years, working closely with our team in India on software development. My role involves continuous collaboration, problem-solving, and ensuring that our software meets the highest standards. What I value most is the strong team spirit and how we always manage to tackle challenges with a good dose of humor. It’s truly rewarding to be part of such a great, global team.”
Soni, Software Senior Developer
How has your view of the fashion industry changed through your apprenticeship?
I’ve learned how complex and fascinating the journey is from design to the finished garment. It has greatly increased my respect for this industry.
What surprised you the most during your apprenticeship?
The variety of tasks and how much IT and teamwork are intertwined really impressed me. The interaction between hardware, software, IT systems, and close collaboration with other departments far exceeded my expectations.
What was your best experience during your apprenticeship at LERROS?
The BBQs with colleagues show just how strong the team spirit at LERROS truly is.
What advice would you give to new apprentices at LERROS?
Be curious, ask lots of questions, and get involved—that will take you the furthest.
How do you celebrate your successes after completing the apprenticeship?
By toasting with friends and family and being proud of what I’ve achieved.
Dustin, former trainee / IT administrator
What fascinates you most about your job?
I love optimizing processes so that our company runs at full speed—and the best part is, I get to have fun with the team while doing it!
Which project or initiative at LERROS was particularly challenging for you and why?
Strengthening team spirit remotely: the challenge was staying connected and communicating clearly despite the distance.
What do you think are the biggest financial challenges in the fashion industry?
Staying flexible, driving innovation, and keeping costs under control—that’s the daily balancing act.
How do you handle stress in your position?
Sport is my stress-buster: cycling to the office clears my head, jogging keeps me focused, and setting priorities helps me stay on top of things.
What’s your hidden talent that your colleagues don’t know about?
My hidden talent? Well, it’s not really a secret: I’m the Excel wizard—complex formulas and macros are my thing!
Nino, CFO
Which design project at LERROS has been the most fun for you so far?
The business attire for Bayer Leverkusen. Receiving positive feedback from the players and staff during the fitting of the finished collection was something truly special and memorable.
What is your creative process when developing a new collection?
My creative process begins with analyzing designer shows, store checks, and the sales figures from LERROS’ previous collection. These insights help shape the new collection, creating a balanced mix of commercial and trendy pieces. Together with the design team, we then discuss and finalize the designs.
What’s the craziest design you’ve ever created?
A Greek tunic for a dog 😉. I used to design theater costumes, like for Offenbach’s "The Beautiful Helen," where I dressed the chorus in Greek tunics. I even put one on a participating dog and sewed it myself in the theater workshop. 😉
How do you overcome creative blocks?
If I knew that...!! Anyone with a solution is welcome to let me know…
If you could dress a famous figure, who would it be and why?
Michelangelo’s David—he’s been waiting long enough for his wardrobe…
Rüdiger, Head of Design
